Their music blends violin and cello with field recordings, poetry, and spoken word, creating immersive soundscapes that blur the line between the acoustic and the abstract. Inspired by magical realism and the works of Jorge Luis Borges, their name comes from Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius, a story that distorts reality in a mesmerizing way—much like their music. TLÖN takes familiar musical references, manipulating and reshaping them into something entirely their own. Their compositions are deeply personal, featuring intimate field recordings: a fetus’s heartbeat, the rhythm of a partner snoring, the hum of an old coffee machine, or the echoes of a ring hitting the ground. These elements weave together to create music that feels like reading a short story—rich, atmospheric, and hauntingly evocative. With TLÖN, nothing is as it seems—only as it sounds.
